The Mount Uniacke Society for the Arts (MUSA) is a non-profit volunteer run organization incorporated under the Societies Act of Nova Scotia, Canada.

Our Mission

To develop, present and promote excellence in the Arts and Culture in Mount Uniacke and surrounding areas.  In other words, we intend to bring you professional concerts and shows that residents of our community would otherwise have to travel to Halifax or the Annapolis Valley to see.  We are also committed to developing talent right here in Mount Uniacke and Hants County! 

Our Vision

To establish Mount Uniacke as a thriving center for Arts and Culture in Hants County!
 
While we want residents of our community to enjoy the shows we present, we also hope to attract folks from outside our lovely "shire" to join us for a memorable evening that only a smaller venue can provide.  Besides, we are a short drive away from HRM and Windsor.  You'll always be "up-close and personal" with the artists we present!
 
We believe that by offering great entertainment in an intimate setting and at an affordable price - the word will spread that MUSA means high quality performances you'd expect in a big city.

Our Dream...
                       Mount Uniacke Centre for Arts & Culture

We currently don't have our own venue.  For now, we will rent the Fire Hall in Mount Uniacke.  It is a nice room with a capacity of 196 seated cabaret-style at tables.  There is a corner stage, a bar, a kitchen and a cloak room.  We are very fortunate to have this facility in our community.  Unfortunately, the Fire Hall does not have an in-house sound and lighting system which means we have to rent one each time we put on a show.  It doesn't have dressing rooms so we have to adapt either the kitchen or the cloak room.
 
Our long-term dream (goal) is to have our very own Mount Uniacke Centre for the Arts and Culture.  We know this dream can (and probably will) take many years to attain but we're not going anywhere.  Other arts organizations in rural settings in Nova Scotia began just like this. 
 
Each time you come to a show, we'll be that much closer to making it happen!
